OB Photography — Client Gallery Privacy Notice

Anthony O’Brien, trading as OB Photography, is the data controller for personal information processed in connection with my photography business. For privacy questions or requests, email anthony@obphotography.uk.

This notice highlights how personal information is used in connection with this gallery. Please read the full OB Photography Privacy Policy for further information about data collection, lawful bases, service providers, international transfers, retention and your rights.

Information and purposes

I process identifiable photographs, relevant booking details, contact information you provide and information submitted through gallery features you use, such as image selections or download requests, to manage and deliver photography services and respond to enquiries. Technical information, such as browser information and cookies, may also be processed to operate and protect the service. Information may come from you, the photography session or the person arranging the booking.

The lawful basis is normally performance of my contract with the client. Where appropriate, legitimate interests support providing photography requested by a client or event organiser, administering and protecting the business, and handling enquiries or disputes. Legal obligations apply to relevant financial and business records. The full policy explains these bases in more detail.

Pixieset and sharing

This gallery is hosted by Pixieset, which processes information on my behalf to provide its gallery services. Photographs are made available to the client and people given access to the gallery. Other service providers may process information where reasonably necessary, as described in the full policy. I do not sell personal information. Some providers may process or store information outside the UK; the full policy explains my approach to international transfers.

Retention and image use

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, backup, appropriate business records or legal requirements. Retention depends on the type and purpose of the information; gallery expiry may be communicated separately. Please see the full policy for retention details.

Booking a session or viewing a gallery does not automatically give permission for identifiable photographs to be used in my portfolio or advertising. Where permission is required or I rely on consent, I request it separately. Particular care is taken with photographs of children.

Your rights and concerns

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where I rely on consent, you may withdraw it for future processing. Contact anthony@obphotography.uk to exercise your rights or raise a concern about an image. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
